NHL Winter Classic Day?
Do you think a Classic day concept on New Year’s would work? Canada has “Hockey Day in Canada” where all the 6 teams face off against each other.
Imagine………you have the Rangers vs. the Islanders @ Citfield @ 1:00, followed by the Stars vs. the Wild @ 4:00 and then finished up with the Pens @ Flyers at Lincoln Financial at 8:00. All examples off the top of my head of course.
Good idea? Strike while the iron is hot?
Question #2- How did you like the HBO 24/7? Do you think it will now be a mainstay for upcoming NHL events?
Question #3- Did you see the HBO special on the Broad Street Bullies?
Question #4- Is Sidney Crosby concussed? He is sitting out tonight with an upper body injury.
1) Dan Craig would like a word with you…you’re gonna have to clone him.
2) I liked it and was expecting to hate it. The filming itself was top-notch, and they did a pretty good job of reaching out to people unfamiliar with the game while not completely offending people like me, but for the love of god and all that’s holy…please, never show Bruce Boudreau playing pocket pool ever again. Beyond that, it was pretty good.
3) Yes…thought it was pretty good and did a nice job of blending storytelling while not ducking from the fact that this team did what it did.
4) Yes as per the team so he’s sitting for a week per league rules.
